This recently renovated 550-square-foot Midtown studio, 155 East 49th St., #4F, has a separate sleeping alcove and a dining room with a pantry. It’s listed for $485,000.

You enter the unit through a short foyer that leads right into the kitchen, a good-sized space with white cabinets, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), a breakfast bar that seats two, slate-gray floors, and a white subway-tiled backsplash.

Just beyond the kitchen is a dining area that fits a small table with a couple of chairs, and a pantry where you can store staples.

The living room isn’t huge, but it has beamed ceilings, blonde-wood floors, and built-in storage by the window.

Separated from the living space by an open-backed wood bookcase, is the sleeping alcove. The closets have wood doors that match up nicely with that bookcase. You can still see the bed from the living area, but it definitely does feel like its own distinct space.

The studio is located in a prewar luxury co-op with a doorman, an elevator attendant, a laundry room, standard storage, bike storage, and a live-in super. Pieds-à-terre are permitted, and the building is cat-friendly. Maintenance is $1,307 a month.
